Content Disclosure & Editorial Policy

Hello! I’m thrilled you’re here. I’m Thass, and I’m a full-time self-employed publisher.

Over the years, I’ve traveled to 40+ countries, experiencing adventures as a solo traveler, with my partner, with friends and with my family (multi-generational). My mission is to share real-world insights, tips and stories to help you plan incredible journeys.

In order to bring my ideas to life visually, alongside my own travel photography, I may occasionally use licensed stock photos, AI-generated images and/or embedded Pinterest content.

Below, I’ll explain exactly how I use various types of content, outline my editorial standards and provide disclosure details to keep everything transparent and user-friendly.

My Own Photos

  • Original Photography: Most of the times and whenever possible, I use photos that I have taken myself. My travels (whether solo, as a couple or with family) have allowed me to capture a wide range of photos. Many of my posts showcase entirely original images of my family’s adventures.
  • Variety of Sources: However, to broaden the visual experience, I may combine my own photos with licensed, AI-generated and/or Pinterest images in a single blog post.
  • Authentic Stories: Many of my articles contain only my personal images, reflecting real experiences and moments from my journeys.

Stock Photos

  • Licensed Imagery: Occasionally, I use stock photos from reputable providers (e.g., DepositPhotos etc.) to enhance blog content.
  • Proper Usage: I license these photos via the provider’s website by paying a fee. To the best of my knowledge, these images are used in accordance with the provider’s licensing agreements.
  • Illustrative Purpose: Stock photos serve purely illustrative purposes and do not replace my personal travel experiences or opinions.

Pinterest-Embedded Images

  • Embedded Pins: I sometimes embed images directly from Pinterest to showcase inspiring visuals or highlight user-generated ideas. Those images remain the property of their respective owners.
  • Link to Original Source: When you click on an embedded Pin, you’ll be directed to the original source on Pinterest and, from there, the owner’s website. I do not claim ownership of these images, nor do I get paid to place the embedded link here.

Use of AI-Generated Images

  • AI Tools: Some of the visuals featured in my blog posts are generated with AI tools such as Midjourney or Ideogram. These illustrations or conceptual images are meant for inspiration, aesthetics and entertaining purposes.
  • Purpose: These illustrations serve to help you visualize key concepts like packing lists, outfit inspirations or travel gear recommendations based on my extensive personal travel experience. I do not sell or license these AI-generated images for profit.
  • Expertise vs. Illustration: Please note that although visuals may be AI-generated, the advice and ideas they represent come from my own background, having journeyed across 40+ countries in various travel styles and being an expat in several countries for 18 years.

Educational and Non-Commercial Use

  • No Direct Sales of Images: I do not sell or license images as standalone products (be they my own, licensed, AI-generated or Pinterest-embedded). They are used purely for illustrative or conceptual purposes.
  • Informational Content: The primary goal of my blog is to entertain, inspire and provide insights drawn from firsthand experience, ensuring you’re equipped with practical tips and ideas for your own travels. If you find them helpful, I’m thrilled!
  • Accuracy & Timeliness: I make every effort to ensure the information provided is current and accurate. However, travel regulations, pricing and local conditions can change quickly. Therefore, I cannot guarantee that all details (e.g., visa rules, accommodation policies, health guidelines etc) are completely up-to-date at the time of reading.
  • Verification of Details: I strongly recommend that you double-check any critical information such as entry requirements, safety advisories or booking details etc, through official or authoritative sources before finalizing your plans.
  • Personal Responsibility & Liability: By reading and applying any of the tips, suggestions or advice found on this blog, you acknowledge and agree that you do so at your own risk. I do not assume liability for any direct or indirect losses, damages or inconveniences that may result from your reliance on the information provided. All content is offered “as is”, without warranties or guarantees implied.

Affiliate Links and Sponsorships

  • Sponsored Content: From time to time, I may publish sponsored content in collaboration with brands or organizations. Whenever a post is sponsored, this will be clearly disclosed at the beginning of the article.
  • Honest Opinions: Even when a post is sponsored, my opinions remain entirely my own, influenced by my personal travel adventures and professional experience in the travel niche.
  • Affiliate Links: Some posts may also contain affiliate links, where I earn a small commission – at no extra cost to you – if you make a purchase through those links.

Copyright and Intellectual Property

  • Respecting Creators: I respect the intellectual property rights of all creators. If you see any image or content here that you own or believe is used inappropriately, please contact me, and I will promptly address the issue.
