Weather Expectations for Portugal in Summer
When summer rolls in, Portugal really knows how to turn up the heat! You can expect daily highs around 82°F (28°C) in Lisbon and a sizzling 86°F (30°C) in the Algarve. Nights cool down a bit, with lows around 63°F (17°C) in both places, so it’s not like you’ll be roasting all night.
The humidity can make it feel a bit sticky, especially in July when it’s around 70%. But don’t worry, August drops it to about 60%, which feels much nicer.
You might get surprised by a quick shower here and there, but they’re usually short-lived—like that friend who overstays their welcome at a party. Just a little sprinkle and then back to sunshine.
Pack your light cotton clothes, a wide-brimmed hat, and don’t forget sunscreen with at least SPF 30+. You want to be ready to soak up the sun without turning into a lobster! So, grab your shades and get ready for some fun in the sun!
